Hi! I’m Alex Palma, owner and main photographer for Palma Photography. I’m a Dad to 2 wonderful amazing boys and a hubby to my beautiful wife Marjori. Ah yes.. we also have a crazy blue heeler dog by the name of Sofie!

I’m passionate about photography but more so just about life in general. When I’m not capturing your special moments I’m busy making a few of my own with my family that keeps me pretty busy.  When I’m not playing around with my sons or doing the dishes, I love watching the Toronto Blue Jays and taking Sofie out for walks.

Yes, a second photographer always accompanies me to every wedding.

What kind of equipment do you use? 2018-02-24T13:24:03+00:00

I use professional Nikon equipment consisting of multiple camera bodies and a wide array of lenses.  My weapon of choice is the Nikon D800.

Why is the engagement session so important? 2018-02-24T13:24:08+00:00

It allows us to get to know each other and establish a relationship without the pressure of a wedding. That means that on your wedding day you can relax and focus on having a great time, resulting in better photographs (and better memories). The session usually lasts an hour in one location, you will receive all the selected high resolution photos which can be used to create a wonderful guest book for your reception. I suggest engagement sessions be done at least 3-6 months before your wedding.

It depends, but a full day of wedding photography including reception typically results in anywhere from 600 to 1000 final photos. I will select only the best photos from the day to share with you.

Will my wedding photos be watermarked? 2018-02-24T13:24:19+00:00

Nope! You will receive the full high resolution images without my watermark (logo) for you to print wherever you would like.

Will my photos be edited? 2018-02-24T13:24:23+00:00

Absolutely! Every photo will be professionally edited to ensure correct exposure, colour, contrast, etc.

When will I get to see my wedding photos? 2018-02-24T13:24:28+00:00

You’ll see a few photos within the next day or two. Then, no later than 6-8 weeks after the wedding, I willsend you a link to an online password-protected viewing gallery and drop off your wedding package!

Do you offer wedding albums? 2018-02-24T13:24:33+00:00

Yes. I offer custom-designed 10 x 10 flush mount leather albums along with a selection of other a la carte products. Click here to see a more detailed post about the albums I offer.

It’s never too soon to ask…. and it’s never too late to ask. I’ve booked weddings from 8 weeks to 18 months in advance! I operate on a first come, first serve basis, so I suggest getting in touch with me as soon as you have a firm date.

Your date will be secured when deposit is received.  The remaining balance of your invoice will be due one week before your wedding day.  Alternate arrangements can be made if need be.

How much of a deposit do you require to book my wedding? 2018-02-24T13:24:50+00:00

The deposit fee to secure your wedding date is $750.  All fees are subject to PST and GST which will be reflected in your invoice.

What is your travel fee outside Winnipeg? 2018-02-24T13:24:55+00:00

Our fee is $0.75/km.
